Kraftin' Kimmie's New Mermaids

Hello all you stampers out there!  I'm afraid I have been missing for a couple of months.  My husband and I have moved and it's been quite a trial.  We had lived in our town for 44 years, spending 22 of it in our last house.  We have moved about an hour and a half's drive away to the town our darling daughter Kraftin' Kimmie and her family live in.  Needless to say, this has been a big deal for us and we have been very busy unpacking and trying to make our new house a home.

I have so missed the crafting and being a part of the blogging world, but I have finally got around to starting again and hope to be around a lot more.

I have joined the Challenge this week, which is called 'Under the Sea'.  It's perfect because Kimmie came out with a new Special Release just yesterday called 'Sea Jewels'.  You may have already seen from the other girl's blogs that there are 3 gorgeous little mermaids, which come in a set.  I chose to use the little mermaid who is sitting hugging her knees.  I used Early Espresso for the cardbase, the frame of the image layer and for the matting on the strip of patterned paper.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye and are called A Beautiful Life.  I use a decorative punch along the bottom of the E. Espresso border and I punched out a couple of little seahorses, also in E. Espresso.  I added the sentiment 'Birthday Fishes' which is one of  the 7 adorable sentiments which come with the set.  I finished up with a yellow satin bow.  So there you have it.  Now we would like to see what 'Under the Sea' projects you can come up with.  Link up your creations to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win the mermaid Jenny is using as she is our hostess for this week.

Till next week, Happy Stamping and may God Bless You,

Diana

  1. Thanks for your lovely comment Diana!

Congrats on the move, and how awesome that your daughter is the talented Kraftin Kimmie!

The bird in my pic is an Australian Galah, or otherwise known as a Rosebreasted Cockatoo. He is my pet called Paddy. I have had him since I was 13, he fell out of his nest as a baby and had to be hand reared, and he is happy at home in my craftroom these days. :-)

(we used to live in the bush, even had Koalas outside our house in our tree's, I miss it sometimes with moving to the coast!)

Do you have any pets? I sure do love my animals! hehe.
